In every generation there are events that impact the world in such a way, as to make you stop and reflect on life itself. COVID, as it spread across the world, restricted life’s movements, changing our everyday interactions with others. As each country locked down our everyday life, everyone was forced to live life more simply. Each day would be focused on video conferencing, spending more time in the kitchen cooking and learning to appreciate your local world.

These significant events are moments that mark your life. But it can also be when you get a new job, lose someone you are close to, or fall for someone. And as one of my favourite movies quotes, P.S. I love you ‘I loved you right then, and there. Life as I knew it had changed.’

Through events like COVID, or again in your personal life, these create opportunities to Wake Up. When I say Wake Up, I mean, to stop, reflect and see what actually matters. I remember before I separated from my ex- husband my life was like driving in the slow lane on the motorway. I just had my life in cruise control. There wasn’t any real movement in it. I wasn’t really looking at what mattered, I didn’t enjoy the simplicity of everyday.

It might not seem like it, but we’re lucky. COVID has given us an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the day to day. The simplicity of cooking, walking in nature, the pleasure of a simple good movie. So enjoy waking up, turn off the cruise control, leave the motorway and take the scenic route through the wilds.

Come to know the Light of Who you are, for There is Nothing Else to Know!
